Diwali is the hindu festival of lights.every year around october or november , hindus around the world celebrates diwali or deepavali festival ,there isn't just one reason to celebrates festival , India celebrates five day is the biggest holiday of the year ,and in the south diwali is popularly linked to hindu god krishna, diwali celebrates every hindu on there home offices , governments all over india ,lights every where.however there various stories associated with the festival.
The event is largely celebrated in india . Indians celebrate this day as the start of the new work & buisness year.people lightup there homes for 4 to 5 days ,the festivals and gifts are exchanged between friends and family. on the night of festival prayers are offerd to lord vishnu and lakshmi. which is followed by bursting crackers fires eation on sweets. When lord sri rama returned from his 14 years of exile after defeating the raavana,the people of Ayodhya lighted candels and diya to celebrated his return to kingdom.
The festival gets his name from the lines of diya that were celebrated the return of lord rama, and hence then name Deepavali , 'The lights' the day of return of rama is symbolized the victory of LIGHT OVER DARK.
At last diwali is large indian festival,it is widely celebrated in other country also ,in fact ,Diwali is
the national holiday in India country.
